the food they gave me to take home for her spoiled her rotten and now she wont eat her kibble. =[

I told her "Fine, starve, you brat."

I even tried mixing the food they gave and she picked it all out...

Assuming dog is healthy, if dog thinks they are too good to eat the food your provide, they go hungry. Marq is a notoriously bad eater. We stopped catering to him a long time ago. If he doesn't dig into his food by 5 minutes, his bowl is taken away and he goes hungry until the next meal.

Yeah shes always been a vacuum cleaner, then they gave me some type of canned wet dog food that was supposed to be easy on her stomach, seeing as she just had it operated on, and she gobbled that right down. I'm assuming she still thinks shes getting more of it, shes been eating it for a week now, and now its time for her to return to eating her normal kibble. Shes being a brat.

Let her go hungry. A healthy dog will not starve themselves.

Around here if a healthy dog doesnt eat they go hungry too. I dont cater to snotty pickiness LOL My parents never did with me when I was a kid so why should I let the dogs get away with it?

I don't know that, after that much major surgery five days ago, I'd classify her as a "healthy dog" yet.

I think maybe I'd wean her off of it gradually. Her gut may not be healed well yet.
